3 Reasons To Never Give Up On Your Passion In Life
Life can be very chaotic at times. If you are like most of us, we work to provide for our families. Some work more than others, but ultimately it is just work. There is a phrase I have heard repeated multiple times in my life, which is often attributed to Confucius. It simply says, ” Choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life.” Although these are great words to live by, it can be much harder for some compared to others. Thus, it is good to understand what your passion for life is and have the opportunity to pursue it.
1) Your Passion Rejuvenates Your Mind And Spirit
One of the first things having a passion can do for you is rejuvenate you. Working a day/night job can be boring and mundane. Having a passion can allow you to have freedom to work on something you really care about. For some it is serving locally, while others choose to have a hobby. Regardless what it is, it will provide a break to your mind and spirit. This will allow you to shed excess stress and frustration from a potential stress-filled job. Therefore, although it could be more work through your passion, it won’t feel like work.
2) Your Passion Can Benefit Others
One of the best things we can do in life is to live to serve others. You were not put here to live for yourself. Try to think of a way your passion or hobbies can benefit others. Again, if you decide to serve locally, you are serving others through your time. If you love working with numbers and spreadsheets, you can devote your passion to helping others with their finances or bookkeeping. Ultimately, you each have a unique quality about you which you can enjoy in your spare time, but also use it in a creative way to serve others. I promise it will multiply the healing or relaxing effects pursuing these passions will have.
3) Your Passions And Hobbies Could Make Some Money
Although it is not always the goal through indulging in your hobbies or passions, you can potentially monetize them. For example, if you are serving others in your spare time, you may also consider using your abilities to create some other income. You may even be able to turn what you love doing into a full time income stream. Thus, you are living in a world where you are not really working because you have found a job you love. An example of this may be art. Art may be your hobby, but some may pay you to create murals or paint pictures for them. Regardless, there are tons of opportunity out there!
There are countless benefits to enjoying your hobbies and passions. They can relax you while also helping you learn more about yourself. The best thing about it is we all have different hobbies and passions. Sure, some are very similar, but we will all choose to do some just a little different. This makes it unique to only us! Regardless of what you do or how long of a day you work, make time for yourself with whatever you love to do!
